Rental Technician

Rental Technician – responsible for delivering and removing equipment and supplies to and from customer worksites in vehicles with a gross weight less than 26,000 pounds.

• Loading, unloading, and securing equipment.
• Long‑distance hauling of equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrating proper equipment usage to customers at delivery point.
• Servicing equipment to ensure proper operating condition at job site.
• Communicating equipment issues with customers and Service Manager.
• Fueling equipment on jobsite as needed.
• Performing safety inspections and maintaining a clean safe environment.
• Conducting preventive maintenance when needed.
• Cleaning and maintaining work vehicle.
• Meeting all company, governmental, and equipment safety requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Completing inspection reports and logbooks per D.O.T. requirements.
• Possessing a current CDL license with a Haz Mat endorsement and maintaining a Sunbelt quality driving record.

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Language skills to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
• Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with fractions and decimals.
• Reasoning ability.
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Mechanical ability and knowledge of tractor‑trailer operation and hauling.
• Ownership and safe use of mechanic’s tools.
• Knowledge of delivery area safety requirements.
• Ability to work rotating on‑call schedule requiring availability 7 days a week, after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Base Pay Range: $20.89 - $30.02 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
