About the role:
The Control Technician is the hands-on foundation of the controls field team and will support DDC/BAS or PLC project work based on business need, project assignment, and developing skillset. This role executes installation verification, database uploads, point-to-point checkout, startup support, field documentation, and issue escalation under the direction of Senior and Lead Technicians.
This position requires regular travel. Per diem, lodging, and travel accommodation are provided in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start up, commission, re-commission customer systems that utilize DDC or PLC technology
- Provides solutions to mid-level systems problems either troubleshooting the system or assists others on how to resolve problems. Works with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- Verify field installation against drawings, schedules, point lists, network architecture, addressing tables, and project documentation; flag discrepancies to Supervisor or the Senior or Lead Technician.
- Be able to provide turnkey project delivery on specific site systems
- Unitary systems (VAV/FPB/FCU)
- Small AHUs/CRAHs
- Basic CW/HW Systems
- Perform verification checks in accordance with L2 to L4 requirements, and support L5 and IST level commissioning for turn-key datacenter execution
