Collections Specialist

Our client, a reputable organization in the Distribution industry, is seeking a dedicated Collections Specialist to join their team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be an essential part of the finance department supporting client accounts and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach, which will enable you to succeed and grow within the organization.

** Pay Range:**  $25.00/hr.

** Shift:
** 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday

** Must be open to screenings if selected*

* ** What's the Job?*
* + Review accounts receivable (A/R) aging reports to identify past-due accounts and outstanding invoices.

+ Contact debtors via phone, email, or mail to notify them of overdue balances.

+ Develop and propose mutually beneficial payment plans or settlement options to secure funds.

+ Investigate historical billing data and resolve invoice errors or customer complaints.

+ Use the in-house system, Jericho, to invoice billed amounts, match payments to invoices, and log transactions accurately.

+ Assertiveness, respectfulness, and confidence in client communications.

+ Ability to negotiate effectively and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

+ Strong problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

+ Basic understanding of financial processes and account monitoring.
