Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef 1 to lead our culinary team for potential new business in the region of Peekskill, New York. This is an entry-level Executive Chef position and a great opportunity to grow your culinary career! About one hour from New York City, Peekskill is nature-focused and offers easy access to the Hudson River waterfront and parks.

Responsibilities include oversight of food production, hands-on cooking, training and mentoring cooks, delivering high quality food service while maintaining client and resident relationships, and ensuring Sodexo Standards are met.

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Qualifications include strong culinary knowledge, ordering and inventory experience, strong knowledge of safety and sanitation, experience training and mentoring a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset, an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people and are confident and warm, a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum Management Experience - 2 years. Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
