Position Overview

As a Personal Banker in PNC’s Retail Banking organization based in Pekin, IL, you will help acquire and deepen the branch customer base by delivering proactive sales and service activities and managing the customer experience.

• Acquire and deepen the branch customer base through proactive sales and service activities.
• Manage the customer experience by identifying opportunities to improve the customer’s financial well‑being.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners to grow customer share of wallet and position PNC solutions to drive new revenue and loyalty.
• Conduct proactive sales conversations through outbound calling, service‑to‑sales, teller interactions, appointment setting, and effective lobby engagement.
• Deliver a full PNC conversation with every client interaction to identify appropriate PNC solutions.
• Leverage ecosystem partnerships and community centers of influence to acquire, expand, and retain relationships.
• Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and position PNC products to meet their needs.
• Educate customers on options for managing financial transactions through technology, tools, and resources.
• Apply product and procedural knowledge to identify, mitigate, and solve customer problems effectively.
• Manage risk through adherence to all policies and procedures, demonstrating sound judgment within established limits.
• Demonstrate heightened scrutiny to identify and avoid loss.
• Participate in branch daily operations, ensuring they are completed efficiently and accurately.

• Required: Associates or equivalent degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or product knowledge.
• Preferred: Accountability, banking, client loyalty, customer experience, customer service, identifying opportunities, leveraging technology, proactive sales, banking products, digital awareness, effective communications, managing multiple priorities, problem solving, prospecting, retail lending, selling, and understanding customer needs.
• In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
• Background check required per Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.

Base Salary: $41,250.00 – $68,750.00. This role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
