About the Role
We’re hiring a Quality Engineer to support and improve quality systems within a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for automotive manufacturing experience. This role will work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and external OEM customers to ensure products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements.
This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives on root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain quality systems aligned with OEM supplier requirements
- Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation and support APQP activities for new and existing programs
- Conduct and support internal and external audits (customer, supplier, and certification audits)
- Serve as a key quality contact for OEM customers and suppliers
- Investigate customer complaints and nonconformances; implement sustainable corrective actions
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve process capability and reduce defects
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive quality metrics
- 3–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with OEM supplier quality systems
- Hands‑on experience with PPAP and APQP
- Strong background in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Experience performing internal and external audits
- Manufacturing experience required; automotive manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership
