Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This position prepares individuals for the Store Manager role, focusing on developing leadership skills and operational proficiency.

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation according to store standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Help ensure adequate stock levels and optimal store appearance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model by adhering to company policies.
• Contribute to store opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment for customers and staff.
• Assist in analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory trends to identify opportunities.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving ability in diverse situations.
• Preferred bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of retail experience is advantageous.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 55 pounds).
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to weather conditions.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise level.
