As an Installer IV

- Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment
- Design, identify, and requisition parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding
- Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and accurate equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders
- Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers location (central office) as a result of installation or engineering activities
- Have familiarity with specifications and drawings required to assemble and integrate telco transmission equipment into a Central Office environment
- Have the ability to utilize hand tools required for the installation of transmission equipment including crimpers, wire wrap guns, strippers, wrenches, hammers, drills, stencils, etc.
- Inventory and transport tools/materials as required to the job site
- Act in a supervisory manner and provide direction to lower-level installers on individual job progress, material shortages, customer complaints, and unsafe or inoperable tools
- Have familiarity with Customer installation and quality standards including IP72202
- Provide for self-quality check of all portions of job responsible for prior to sign off
- Assemble, modify and install overhead ironwork, relay racks, transmission equipment and cable ladder
- Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment
- Stencil installed equipment and terminations
- Establish and maintain a professional rapport with customers, supervisors, and co-workers
- Maintain and provide accurate departmental paperwork as requested
- Know all safety and security requirements and follow them implicitly;
Assist in maintaining a safe and hazard-free work area - Dress appropriately for the job environment
- Must be proficient in all phases of installation and testing of equipment to provide for progression in the business

About You:

- High School diploma or GED and Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or equivalent as determined by Installation Manager
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office Installer
- You respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve partnership
- You have the ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel and work within company-provided databases to update job statuses
- You have the ability to lift tools and equipment as needed (minimum 10 lbs)
- You are proficient in customer specifications and standards
- You possess excellent communication skills—speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; demonstrates group presentation skills
- You have excellent time management; organizational skills; plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plans
- You are dependable – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; keeps commitments

Compensation: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour.
