Salary Range
$70-90,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)
SummaryThe Low Voltage Field Technician is responsible for installing low voltage systems and cables as required for commercial enterprises.
Responsibilities- Performs pulling, routing and terminating CAT-6A, CAT-6 and CAT-5 cables in a commercial environment.
- Performs pulling, routing and terminating fiber cables in a commercial environment.
- Dresses and terminates distribution frames.
- Installs electronic fixtures (AP’s, switches, UPS, speakers, horns, projectors, cameras, and other electronics).
- Performs Server Room Rack and Stack.
- Installs low voltage cabling based on BICSI standards.
- Valid Alabama Low Voltage License including Contractor’s License.
- Familiar with BICSI, EIA, TIA and NEC Standards.
- Must own your own basic telecom tools and personal protective equipment.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver license. Some positions require a clean DMV record.
