Yard Maintenance / Shop Mechanic

Lakes Area Landscaping, LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Yard Maintenance / Shop Mechanic. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining an organized shop and yard, and has experience repairing small engines and landscaping equipment. Primary responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on small engines and landscaping equipment and trucks.

The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop, equipment yard, and storage areas. Additional duties include loading and unloading material deliveries and organizing inventory, assisting with receiving, stocking, and putting away materials and supplies, and helping keep equipment, trailers, and tools clean, fueled, and ready for daily operations. The position requires general shop and property maintenance, seasonal duties, and other tasks as assigned.

The ideal candidate will assist with equipment inspections and report repair needs, and help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications include experience repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, the ability to safely lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and general landscape equipment experience. Self-motivation, the ability to work independently, a strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help wherever needed are also essential.
