Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Elementary/Middle School Teacher role based in Pell City, AL. The teacher will design and deliver engaging daily lessons that align with school curriculum and educational standards, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include planning units and assessments, managing classroom behavior, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. The teacher will track student progress, provide regular feedback, and communicate with families and school leadership about academic and social development.

Additional duties may include participating in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and supporting extracurricular or enrichment activities as needed.

Qualifications
  • Strong instructional skills in teaching at the elementary and/or Middle School levels, with experience adapting lessons for varied learning styles.
  • Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development to create structured, standards‑aligned learning experiences.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues, and for providing clear, constructive feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; appropriate state teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Alabama.
  • Ability to maintain classroom discipline, foster a positive learning environment, and support students’ academic and social‑emotional growth.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning, reliability in fulfilling school responsibilities, and openness to integrating school values into instructional practice.
