Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer with deep expertise in Siemens S7-300 and S7-1500 PLC programming to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment near Birmingham, Alabama. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in dynamic settings and is passionate about automation, capital project execution, and electrical design.

• Develop, program, and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs using Simatic Manager and TIA Portal V15.1–V18
• Lead and manage capital projects
  , ensuring compliance with NEC and NFPA standards
• Design electrical control panels using AutoCAD 2016
• Perform start-up, commissioning
  , and program edits for new and existing systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide technical support across departments

• Proven experience in Siemens PLC programming (S7-300 & S7-1500)
• Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 for panel design
• Background in fast-paced manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience with start-up and commissioning
• Familiarity with Simatic Manager and TIA Portal V15.1–V18
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
