Job Title:
Area Manager – Commercial Cleaning

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Area Manager to oversee daily operations for assigned commercial cleaning accounts. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, supports and supervises cleaning staff, and assists with hiring and onboarding. The position is part-time with consistent weekday hours and occasional weekend responsibilities for quality inspections and coverage.

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM (4.5 hours per shift)
  • Weekends: As needed for quality inspections, staff coverage, or special projects
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support cleaning staff across assigned accounts
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Address client concerns and resolve service issues promptly
  • Assist with staff hiring, including interviewing and training
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage for all assigned locations
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies
  • Maintain open communication with staff and management
  • Ensure supplies, equipment, and safety procedures are properly used
  • Step in to provide coverage when needed
Hiring & Staffing Support
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing cleaning staff
  • Help ensure proper training is completed
  • Support retention efforts through coaching and performance feedback
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or facilities management preferred
  • Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with hiring or training employees is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Flexible availability for occasional weekend work
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk job sites and perform inspections
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks as needed
Compensation
  • Salary plus hourly position
