Allied Mineral Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. Due to continued growth, we are looking for Operators at our Pell City, AL plant.

Under the direction of the West Plant Supervisor, perform all job requirements and functions of the position.

• Operate loader and forklift safely.
• Properly mix crude clay.
• Load hopper with crude clay.
• Load meltzone hopper with finished product to be bagged.
• Service loader at end of shift.
• Maintain clean A505 system.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.

• Physically and mentally fit for duty.
• At least 18 years old.
• Dependable and maintain required attendance.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and fully understand SOPs, SDSs, labeling, safety and health regulations, and procedures within the job and plant.
• Basic mathematics proficiency.
• Ability to operate loader and forklift safely and efficiently, pass required testing.
• Pass licensing tests to operate cranes and forklift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Dusty and dirty environment.
• Hot and/or cold environment.
• Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.

• Willing and physically able to lift 100 pound bags and complete material handler requirements.
• Must qualify for and wear a respirator.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing on feet, using tools, performing repetitive actions with frequent bending and stooping.
