Allied Mineral Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Due to our continued growth we are looking for Operators for our Pell City, AL plant.

We are looking for energetic, motivated and results-driven individuals to join our Production Team.

Under the direction of the West Plant Supervisor perform all job requirements and functions of the position.

• Operate loader and forklift safely always.
• Properly mix crude clay.
• Load hopper with crude clay.
• Load meltzona hopper with finished product to be bagged.
• Service loader everyday at end of shift.
• Maintain clean A505 System.
• Organization/Housekeeping – Maintain clean and organized work area.

• Must be physically and mentally fit for duty.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable and able to maintain the attendance required to perform the job.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and fully understand: SOPs, SDSs, labeling, safety and health regulations, and procedures within the job, this job group and the plant.
• Ability to understand basic mathematics.
• Must have the ability to operate loader and forklift safely and efficiently and pass required testing to operate loader and forklift.
• Be able to pass tests as it relates to the job, including passing the licensing test to operate cranes and forklift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• The job is in a dusty and dirty environment.
• Working in a hot and/or cold environment.
• Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.

• Must be willing and physically able to lift 100 pound bags and complete the physical requirements of a Material Handler.
• Must be able to qualify for and wear a respirator.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
