Assistant Manager-Front End

The Front-End Manager will supervise all front-end staff and perform administrative tasks assigned by the store manager.

• Oversee the daily workflow of the front-end staff.
• Schedule staff to ensure efficient customer service.
• Lead the store in all corporate assigned programs and policies.
• Recommend discipline and termination of employees by partnering with Store Management as needed and in accordance with policy.

• Ensure consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolve any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
• Assist the store manager with the weekly workbook and other paperwork as assigned.
• Continuously train and support front-end staff and cash office procedures.
• Responsible for all front-end ordering, stocking, and merchandising.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the front-end, bathrooms, and parking lot.
• Ensure all front-end supplies and Ice are full.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities: Exceptional customer service and managerial skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. At least one year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer service, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds t be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.
