Automotive Electrical Technician

Job Summary

The role of the Automotive Electrician is to perform a wide range of service work related to the customization of vehicles for pursuit vehicles. Technicians must be familiar with emergency vehicle lighting systems and related first‑responder equipment.

• Perform quality installations of emergency lighting and accessories on all makes and model vehicles.
• Installation and assembly of after‑market equipment and accessories, meeting allotted time requirements.
• Performs wiring of emergency lights, camera systems, partitions, push bumpers, and miscellaneous accessory components.
• Troubleshooting electronic, interior, exterior and mechanical systems.
• Follows manufacturer’s specifications for installation of components and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform hands‑on repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Strong electrical & mechanical background - 2 years of experience.
• EVT certification not required but is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Prior experience in the automotive equipment or similar industry preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
