Mortgage Loan Originator

Bank Iowa is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to drive residential lending growth across our Iowa communities. In this client-facing role, you will source and develop mortgage business, guide borrowers from application through closing, and ensure compliance with lending regulations. You'll partner closely with internal teams and community referral sources while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans for new and existing Bank Iowa clients.
• Conduct detailed borrower needs assessments and recommend suitable loan products.
• Guide customers through the full loan process from application to closing.
• Collect, analyze, and verify financial documentation for loan approval.
• Ensure all applications comply with bank policies, investor guidelines, and regulations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams for timely decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and community partners.
• Achieve individual production goals while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and status updates in loan origination systems.
• Participate in community and networking events to generate new business.
