RoleSpecifics and Benefits
In this Labor and Delivery assignment, you’ll provide expert nursing care to laboring patients, support for hospital births, and comprehensive postpartum and newborn care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continuous fetal monitoring
- Assessment of maternal and fetal status
- Administration of medications
- Management of labor progress
- Coordination with obstetricians and midwives
- Assisting with delivery
- Immediate newborn care including resuscitation readiness and lactation support
- Educating families about newborn care, breastfeeding, and postnatal recovery
- Documenting accurately in electronic medical records
- Ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
