Position: MEDSURG REGISTERED NURSE - WEEKEND NIGHTS- $10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS at Pella Regional Health Pella, IA

MEDSURG Registered Nurse - Weekend Nights

Location:

Pella Regional Health, Pella, IA.

Schedule:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday .

Compensation: $10,000 sign‑on bonus, 40 hours upfront PTO, weekend extra half pay.

Job Summary

Collaborates with the health care team using evidence‑based practice, demonstrating accountability, respect for patients, families and coworkers, while providing safe and optimal patient outcomes. Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team and families as appropriate. Directs the work of support staff in the provision of care. Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.

Works with age‑specific populations in the setting. Assessments include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Job Specific Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
  • Current registration and licensure in the state of Iowa as an RN.
  • Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within 3 months after hire date.
  • Current ACLS certification. New employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.
  • Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care.
