Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift weekend position requiring an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact license, in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited RN program, BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA Heart Code) required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Work in the LDRP unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for patient populations ranging from neonates to geriatric patients
• Night shift schedule: 7p-7a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 13-week assignment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team using evidence-based practice to ensure safe, optimal patient outcomes
• Direct the work of support staff in the provision of patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers to promote continuity of care
• Apply critical thinking and sound nursing judgment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate empathy, tact, and kindness toward patients and families
