PositionSummary
This position will work closely with our team to develop the knowledge, ability, and other qualifications to perform the duties of a 1,000- hour Apprentice Lineman. The work will involve overhead and underground power line construction and maintenance. A 1,000- hour Apprentice Lineman must have the ability to safely drive and operate trucks and heavy equipment, and the ability to operate and direct aerial lift equipment.
Applicants must meet the physical requirements of the job which include heavy lifting and operating machinery; also required to meet all safety requirements set forth by Pella Cooperative Electric's Operating Procedures along with OSHA and ANSI standards.
- High school diploma, GED certificate or equivalent.
- Diploma from an accredited Power Lineman school or competency with electric distribution system attained through experience.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Previous utility experience is a plus.
