General Overview of Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Athletic Group Leader is responsible for planning and facilitating a structured basketball enrichment program within SPARK BTB. This position promotes youth development through athletics while ensuring student safety, academic accountability, and alignment with SPARK's program standards and Burlington County youth service expectations.
The Athletic Group Leader serves as a coach, mentor, and positive role model, delivering structured skill development-not unsupervised free play.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM
An Associates Degree or the credits equivalent to one with experience working with children and youth OR
A HS Diploma and a year or more experience working with children and youth
Experience in sensitivity with multicultural settings.
Knowledge of and must be sensitive towards adolescent development issues and have a desire to work with students ages 5 through 18.
Successful completion of training in CPR, and First Aid.
Acceptable FBI, criminal background check and child abuse history clearances required.
Competencies & Personal CharacteristicsThe individual is to be supervised by the Program Coordinator.
