Interim School Business Administrator

Interim Position Dates: 8/25/2026-TBD

Required Criteria:

• Possess a School Business Administrator's Certificate.
• Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of accepted business practices, laws and regulations governing school districts related to budget preparation, risk management, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations and facility planning.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in preparation of Board Secretary Reports.
• Experience with school based budgeting and accounting programs.
• Knowledge of State of New Jersey school district auditing procedures.
• Knowledge of public school administration regarding grants.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Interim Salary is $500 / day. Interim positions are not eligible for medical benefits, personal/sick/vacation time.
