Institute Director Position Summary

As a Student Care Manager at Be Aveda Institutes, you play a vital role in supporting students throughout their educational journey—from enrollment through graduation, licensure, and career placement.

This position focuses on student success, compliance, and career readiness. Through attendance monitoring, record management, and alumni engagement, you help ensure students remain on track to graduate and successfully enter the beauty industry.

By maintaining accurate records, supporting accreditation requirements, and guiding students through licensure and employment opportunities, you help uphold the educational standards associated with the Aveda learning experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF

THE ROLE & “OUR WHY”
  • Manage and mentor students to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 90% by documenting and coaching for improvement
    • Our Why:
      Consistent attendance is critical for students to successfully complete their program, graduate on time, and pass their licensure exam on their first attempt.
  • Plan and host career fairs, graduations, and other student-focused events
    • Our Why:
      These events help strengthen the institute culture while supporting students in building industry relationships and exploring employment opportunities while still in school.
  • Manage student placement and alumni relations
    • Our Why:
      Supporting students after graduation helps ensure they are working in the industry while maintaining accreditation outcomes. Alumni communication continues until students are licensed and successfully placed.
  • Monitor and maintain student records within all CPMS systems
    • Our Why:
      Accurate documentation ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains the integrity of each student’s academic record.
  • Collaborate with the collections team to track and clear students from financial holds
    • Our Why:
      Students must remain in good financial standing in order to progress through their program and graduate successfully.
  • Maintain accurate data entry of student grades
    • Our Why:
      Students must meet academic standards to progress throughout their program and ultimately graduate.
  • Submit licensure applications for all graduating students and follow up on exam results
    • Our Why:
      Timely submission of applications helps ensure students can move quickly into licensure and industry employment following graduation.
  • Audit student files to ensure compliance standards are met for accreditation review
    • Our Why:
      Maintaining accurate and complete files supports successful quarterly and annual accreditation audits conducted by NACCAS.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS Dress Code Expectations:
  • All black, professional attire that reflects the Aveda brand
  • Maintain clean, styled hair, subtle makeup, and professional grooming. Remember – we are in the beauty industry, we must hold ourselves to a high standard that reflects such.
  • Nametag must be worn at all times and should remain clean
Attendance Expectations:
  • Arrive on time, ready to contribute to a seamless guest and student experience
  • Adhere to scheduled shifts and communicate proactively for any absences – see call out protocol
TRAINING OVERVIEW & GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
  • Initial onboarding will include training modules covering student record systems, compliance standards, accreditation expectations, and placement reporting
  • Ongoing development includes student services leadership, compliance training & support regionally, career placement strategies
  • Opportunities to advance include Regional Training roles, Corporate operations roles
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, and strong organization skills.
  • Must have good follow-up skills and be very organized.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills with Word and Outlook
