Major ResponsibilitiesThe NCLEX Coach/Success Navigator at Florida National University is committed to providing quality instruction and comprehensive career advisement to all nursing students. This position serves as a dedicated mentor and academic support specialist for students preparing for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The role strategically combines educational expertise, motivational coaching, and career guidance to maximize student success rates, ensure graduates are thoroughly prepared for professional nursing practice, and support their transition into the healthcare workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Communication Management: Respond promptly to daily communications via email and voicemail, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Policy Adherence and Ethical Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the University's mission, policies, procedures, ethical standards, compliance with data protection regulations and pertinent legal regulations in all aspects of admission activities.
- University Engagement: Participate in Commencement Exercises, new student orientation, university events, committees, self-studies, and University Commencement Ceremonies.
- Special Projects: Execute special projects assigned by the President or supervisor.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, as well as FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulation, the FNU Code of Ethics, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 (FIPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Assigned Duties: Undertake other assigned duties as required.
- Implements effectively NCLEX nursing resources (Passpoint, Kaplan, ATI, Hurst, U world, HESI, etc.) material where utilized.
- Provides quality instruction for the students.
- Provides feedback and develops an individualized remediation plan for any student who is not performing successfully in Exit exam OR REMEDIAL exams.
- Tracks testers who are ready and not ready for NCLEX.
- Conducts NCLEX prep workshops if needed.
- Conducts 1:1 individualized coaching to students who are preparing for NCLEX.
- Tracks NCLEX pass rate.
- Assist students for registering to BON and Pearsonvue.
- Collaborate with faculty regarding high risk students.
- Conducts classes for the schedule amount of hours each class meeting.
- Models appropriate attendance for his/her students.
- Demonstrates evidence of professional growth through participation in continuing education, research or related activities.
- Attends all faculty meetings, professional development functions and University committees to which they have been assigned.
- Performs the administrative duties designated by the program director.
- Works with the librarians in the establishment and weeding of the library program and course collection development.

- Timely completion of individual student assessments and plans
- Participation in professional development activities
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required; doctoral degree preferred
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
