Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. The Vac Truck Operator is to safely operate extremely high-pressured water-blast units to clean customer systems and operate industrial vacuum units and drive safely.

• Use appropriate PPE, as specified by Safety Director
• Follow traffic laws/DOT regulations/ driving knowledge.
• Basic knowledge and ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment.
• Properly prepares equipment and worksite on a daily basis.
• Ensures that assigned tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors/Foremen on area such as safety, quality, and integrity.
• Pre-inspect truck.
• Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
• Work 40-50 hours weekly

• Must possess license for 7 years and CDL for 2 years.
• Must have a clean Class “B” driver’s license with Tanker Endorsement.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbal and written
• Dependability
• Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.
• Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.
• Must be physically able to enter confined spaces such as manholes and must be able to successfully complete/ pass confined space entry training provided by the employer.
