Job DescriptionJOB GOAL:
Provide quality instruction to students in the Pembroke Public Schools.
- Maintain currency in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Plan and deliver appropriate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Demonstrate the ability to use a wide variety of instructional strategies as supported by research and identified as current best practice.
- Incorporate meaningful pre- and post-assessment into teaching.
- Implement accommodations to enable individual learners to access instruction.
- Maintain a positive learning climate in the classroom.
- Implement flexible differentiated instruction to engage all learners.
- Engage students in taking ownership of their individual learning.
- Demonstrate a full knowledge of effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records and meet school requirements in record keeping and written and verbal correspondence with students, parents and administration.
- Maintain high standards and expectations for all students.
- Promote an appreciation of equity and diversity in the school building.
Full-time
Salary$67,876 to $111,687 Per Year
Job Requirements- Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education certification in the area assigned.
- Master’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Experience providing instruction in an educational setting in the content area and grade level assigned.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency with classroom management.
- Competency in Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
