Job DescriptionMajor Duties:
Assists classroom teacher(s) in the implementation of accommodations and modifications appropriate to students' needs and in accordance with strategies to help students achieve in the general curriculum.
Temporary Assignment: 9/1/26-11/20/26
- Assists teachers in classrooms, providing indirect instruction and support to students.
- Assists with the supervision of playground, bus boarding activities, cafeteria, and corridors.
- Works under the direct supervision of teaching staff to implement special education and general education programs by providing both individual and small group support.
- Provides behavioral, social and daily living skill support to students as assigned.
- Alerts staff to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Assists with clerical work in teacher’s classroom, library, office, and other appropriate workstations.
- Supports students in school-sponsored community activities or vocational opportunities.
- Assists teachers in kindergarten.
- Accompanies a sick or injured child when appropriate.
- Assists in maintaining workroom area and machines.
- Assists with lunch, snack, and cleanup routine.
- Assists with library functions – book collection, dissemination and record keeping.
- Performs clerical work related to record keeping for district and state reports.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate and assigned by the Principal or Director of Student Services.
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $125 to $125 Per Day

Job Requirements- Associate’s Degree or equivalent amount of college credits from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
- Experience working with children in an instructional setting.
- Basic knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices.
- Good communication skills verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with diverse learners across settings.
- Flexibility and comfort with transition and varied responsibilities.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree. - Preferred:
Experience working in a public school setting. - Preferred:
At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience. - Preferred:
Associate degree. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
