Intake Coordinator – Registered Nurse (RN)

Position:
Full‑time (32 hours/week) evening shift 3pm–11pm. Must work every other weekend.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120‑bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston in Pembroke, MA. We offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults, and older adults, designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. • Complete intake call sheets on all referrals, gathering demographic, clinical, and financial information. Ensure accuracy and completeness prior to transmission to clinical and business office staff.
• Request evaluations from ESP/ED/Referrer as appropriate and assist Intake Coordinators with interpretation of lab values and diagnostic testing under Pembroke guidelines.
• Review first‑call acceptance of patients based on Pembroke protocols.
• Notify units of pending admissions in a timely manner and send completed call sheets and insurance verification/authorization to Hospital Unit, Utilization Review, and Business Office.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date bed availability; update hospital staff on pending admissions or cancellations, and refresh external bedboard regularly.
• Adhere to procedures for wait‑listed patients and case transfers; contact the CEO for reviews when a patient is delayed or requires additional review.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by this position.

• At least one year of experience in hospital intake/admissions and/or behavioral health nursing
