Nurse (RN) Manager Opportunity - Adult Behavioral Health Unit

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse (RN) Manager is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of patient care on assigned unit. The Nurse Manager organizes and directs the work of nursing staff to assure effective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met. The Nurse Manager must proactively collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care is achieved.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for training, development and managing the overall performance of assigned nursing staff.

This position is for an adult psychiatric unit

Qualifications Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing required. BSN preferred
• MA RN License
• Five (5) or more years of nursing experience, preferably in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Three (3) or more years in a nursing supervisory role
• CPR Certificated required
• Knowledge of abnormal psychology and treatment procedures
• Excellent crisis intervention skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills including: delegation, staff coaching, employee relations, change facilitation and motivation
• Superior ability to manage a milieu
