Science Lab Technician - Aljunied

About the Role

The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is sourcing a Science Lab Technician to be deployed at a Primary School. This role supports the school's science programmes and ensures the smooth day‑to‑day operations of its science laboratories, enabling engaging and hands‑on learning experiences for students.

This is a contract position. The school may, at its discretion, extend the engagement for a further year up to 28 June 2028.

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm (inclusive of a 1‑hour lunch break)
• No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays

• Support inquiry‑based and hands‑on science learning activities across primary school levels
• Manage and maintain two science laboratories, including the school garden and science learning corners
• Assist teachers in preparing apparatus, materials, and equipment for science lessons, practical activities, and assessments
• Source and procure laboratory equipment, materials, and consumables, while maintaining accurate inventory records
• Ensure laboratory safety procedures and standards are adhered to at all times
• Support logistics, set‑up, and supervision during science workshops, enrichment programmes, classes, and school events
• Assist with the maintenance and organisation of laboratory resources and facilities
• Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned by the school

• NITEC, GCE O‑Level, Diploma, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a laboratory technician, preferably in a primary or secondary school environment
• Comfortable handling laboratory materials, chemicals, and live specimens (including insects) in a supervised setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore at the point of application

• Prior experience supporting science programmes in an MOE school environment
• Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and first aid practices
• Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage inventory, procurement, and laboratory resources independently
