A dynamic facility in Pendleton, OR is seeking a skilled general surgeon for a locum tenens assignment. This role involves both outpatient and hospital-based work, including surgical procedures, post-operative care, and trauma response. The position requires participation in a rotating call schedule, ensuring 24/7 coverage. Ideal candidates will have flexible availability and be prepared to step into a well-established setting with strong support staff.

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 24-hour on-call duties

- Weekly direct deposit
- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage
- Supportive credentialing assistance
- Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable)
- Flexible scheduling
- Attend to scheduled clinic patients and provide consultations.
- Perform surgeries including but not limited to diagnostic colonoscopies, cholecystectomy, and appendectomy.
- Respond to traumas in the emergency department.
- Ensure comprehensive post-operative care for surgery patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation with EMR systems (Meditech and eCW).
- Board Certified in Surgery
- Current Oregon State License (or in process)
- ACLS, BLS, DEA certifications required
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Recent Self-Query NPDB report required
- Full-time schedule with variations, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- On-call duties include weekends and holidays as per the rotating schedule.
- Expertise in a range of surgical procedures.
- Ability to work independently while integrating into a team.
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare staff.
- Adaptability to manage on-call responsibilities and unpredictable case scenarios.
