Position Location:

Pendleton, OR 97801. Position Type:
Part Time. Education Level: Graduate Degree.

Perform all functions and activities within the guidelines and philosophy set forth in the BMCC Vision and Strategic Plan. Performs consistently with the team-based model and actively participates as a member of assigned college teams and committees. Conforms to the college's guiding principles.

• Teaches assigned courses and develop curriculum in accordance with course descriptions as outlined in a course syllabus and schedule requirements.
• Orients students by distribution of course syllabi early in the quarter as to the objectives, measurable outcomes, purposes of the course, attendance requirements, nature of assignments or requirements and required texts.
• Prepares and presents records and reports necessary for proper institutional management.
• Follows the highest ethical standards of the teaching profession and promotes the best interests of the College.

• May be asked to maintain office hours and advise students.
• Assignment(s) may include day and/or evening courses, weekdays and/or weekends, face-to-face and/or distance-delivered instruction.
• If you reside outside of Oregon, you must live within commuting distance to one of our centers.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers, with skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Veteran's preference points will be given provided DD214/DD215 is provided.

• Professional-Technical:
  Bachelor’s degree in field and/or certification by recognized national certifying organization and/or appropriate experience.
• Lower Division Collegiate: A Master’s Degree in discipline or Master’s degree plus 20 graduate hours in the subject area applied for, and prior teaching experience.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term. No sponsorship is available for this position.
