School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Pendleton, Oregon

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact working with K-12 students across multiple school buildings in a vibrant educational community.

Your assignment runs from the last week in August through early June, following a typical school calendar. You'll enjoy a stable, full-time schedule working 40 hours per week for a total of 185 school days. Daily start and end times will align with school-specific hours, and you will have the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students.

Flexibility is key as school locations will be determined, and you may serve students in more than one building.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Active SLPA license required
• Experience providing speech and language support to children ages 5-18 in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Capacity to organize and document sessions effectively
• Adaptability to work at multiple school sites within the district
• Ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language interventions under the supervision of an SLP
• Support IEP goals with targeted therapy activities
