- Experience working with children preferred
- Valid Oregon driver's license required
- Reliable, insured transportation required, as this position may involve travel between schools/districts
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, and collaborate with school teams
As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out therapy programs and interventions for students. This role includes supporting students with physical needs, assisting with therapy activities, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff, families, and other professionals to help students meet their goals. The position may involve travel throughout the service area to support students in multiple school settings.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out therapy activities and intervention programs under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist
- Observe and gather information related to students' physical and functional needs
- Assist with developmental screenings as requested by the supervising PT
- Prepare materials and support individual therapy programs based on student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Support use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to promote student independence
- Participate in IFSP/IEP meetings and team collaboration as directed
- Travel between school sites as needed to provide services
- Position: Certified Physical Therapy Assistant
- Setting: School-based / Early Learning Services
- Schedule: Full-time, 10-month school year position
- Hours: Monday-Friday, approximately 8 hours per day
- Location: Pendleton, OR / service-area schools
- Start Date: August 2026 through June 2027
- Pay: Estimated to be between $30-$40+ Per Hour
