Description:

Oregon requires CT Registry through ARRT. Department specializes in Radiology CT/Xray (Computed Tomography). A radiation badge is preferred but not required  manager can request it once the offer is accepted. General certification requirements include BLS and other certifications. The department has 1 scanner/room. There is no requirement to float or cover other areas. Common types of imaging/studies performed include XR and CT.

Average number of scans/studies per day is 5-10 CT and 10-20 XR during Swing Shift. The department uses McKesson PACS and Meditech EMR. Department specific equipment includes GE Xray and Toshiba CT. The Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech will be the manager and lead CT tech. There are no Registered Radiology Assistants in the department. Radiologists are in-house only until 1700.

Starting IVs is not required. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. There is no call or standby requirement. Scrub color is black, and scrubs are not provided. Department specific orientation includes a checklist. The cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system used is McKesson. BSN is not required. License is required to submit.

The care setting is acute. Division is Allied. Shift notes indicate days Tuesday-Friday.
