About the Position

Pendleton Urgent Care, of Praxis Health, is seeking an experienced Medical Office Support professional with outstanding customer service skills for a full time position. The role requires a collaborative, team-oriented approach and a willingness to support the needs of our patients and the team.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM;
Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Schedule varies week to week)

Responsibilities
  • Greet, screen, and schedule patients.
  • Enter accurate patient information into electronic health records and other platforms.
  • Perform clerical duties related to clinical service and other medical receptionist duties.
  • Prepare and process correspondence.
  • Answer routine medical administrative inquiries.
  • Handle high volume of reception duties, including answering and screening telephone calls, relaying messages, questions, and information between patients and clinicians.
  • Obtain, verify, and update patient information and provide support to patients and medical staff.
  • Assist in medical record maintenance, including retrieving and sending records as required by state and federal laws.
  • Ensure scheduling accuracy for provider and patient time.
  • Contribute to internal communication via multiple software programs.
  • Maintain files and assist in establishing office systems.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of office equipment.
Essential Job Functions

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 1 year (preferred 2+ years) of medical front‑office experience in a high‑volume setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
General

Physical Requirements

Manual dexterity for office machine operation, stooping, bending, and mobility for errands. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Work performed in an office environment with frequent interaction with staff and patients.
