JOB SUMMARY

The Payroll Specialist delivers accurate, on-time bi-weekly payroll by auditing time and pay data, processing employee changes, and resolving pay issues witha high levelof service and confidentiality. This role partners with HR and Finance to support onboarding and benefits, administer tips, 401(k), and garnishments, complete required payroll tax filings, and provide payroll and labor reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
:

• Ensurecustomersatisfactionthroughprompt,efficient,andfriendlyservice.
• Review payroll reports for accuracy by looking for discrepancies and then process payroll within the deadlines to ensure on-time bi-weekly payments to employees via both direct deposit and live payroll checks.
• Calculate and adjust employees'tips for multiple revenue centersin accordance withthe IRS Tip Rate Agreement and all internal procedures.
• Partner with Human Resources to onboard new hires,validate benefit allocations, and process terminations seamlessly.
• Enroll employees in timeclock software as needed.
• Processallperiodictaxreportssuchas Quarterly Federal
  941’s,State Quarterly Reporting,AnnualW-2s, and annual tip report filing on form 8027.
• Bi-weekly
  401K payroll processesincludeloan and contribution reconciliations, payment submission, and discrepancy resolution.
• Resolve discrepancies and provide support for any issues related to pay checks.
• Generatefinalchecksforterminatedemployeesassubmittedthrough Human Resources .
• Assist management with understanding time and attendance, scheduling and payroll procedures.
• Assistemployeeswithpayrollforms.
• Supervision of staff to include hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, etc.
• Keepthesupervisorapprisedofanyunusualpayrollorbenefitmattersandrefer toanymatters beyond the scope of authority appropriately.
• Providepayrollreportsasneededincludingexceptionreports,overtime reports,employee reports,labor reports,leave accrual,etc.
• Complywithregulatorylaws,employee handbook,departmentpolicyandprocedures,safety codes, etc.
• Promoteaclean,safe,andhealthyworkenvironmentforemployeesand guests.
  
  Promptly report all concerns to the Supervisor.
• Ensurethattheoperationofequipment,tools,andmaterialsishandledsafely.
• Promoteinternalguestservicestandardsthroughcourteousandrespectfulbehavior.
• Otherrelateddutiesasassigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

• Two (2) yearsofin-housepayrollexperienceand a payroll certification ORthree(3) yearsofin-housepayrollexperience. In-house payroll experience must be for organizations with over 100 employees.
• Six (6) months supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of payroll garnishments, 401
  
  Kbenefitsand loan processing,and benefits distribution.
• Experienceandknowledgeofpayrollsoftware, processing,payroll laws,andbestpractices.
• High School Diplomaor GEDorTen(10) yearsofexperience.
• Excellentinterpersonalskillsthatpromoteexceptionalcustomerservice.
• Must be proficient at multitasking in a fast-paced office environment. Teamwork experienceisrequired.
