Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator maintains and supports the business applications and Microsoft-centered systems that support 24/7 resort and casino operations. This role administers application systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL Server, and related systems while applying IT operations practices for hosting, backups, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. The Systems Administrator works closely with the Systems, Service Desk, Network and Security teams to keep critical business systems reliable, secure, recoverable, and supportable.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan, install, and deliver IT business applications in on-premise and cloud environments. Balance system requirements including performance and redundancy against constraints such as available computing resources, complexity and budget.Plan, configure, and maintain a reliable and secure private cloud to operate enterprise business applications.Organize and schedule upgrade and maintenance, considering business requirements, budgets, processes, stakeholders, end users, and vendors.Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies, oversee installation, and resolve installation or integration issues.Troubleshoot incidents and problems with applications, databases, servers, storage systems, and any other incidents assigned.Ensure backups of system configuration, databases, file systems, virtual machine, and volumes operate on a planned scheduled with recordkeeping. Ensure maintenance of on-site and off-site libraries of backups.Document system design and configurations in centrally accessible repositories. Lead department in developing documented and repeatable IT processes.Monitor overall system performance and availability, detecting faults, identifying performance problems, and tracking trends.Work closely with service desk, network, and security teams to troubleshoot incidents, resolve issues, and plan and execute projects.Research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of technology procurement and development efforts.Occasionally receive and respond to mission-critical alerts and potential IT outages outside of business hours.Position participates in an on-call rotation as assigned.
Occasional travel between Wildhorse Resort & Casino properties may be required.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, OR related field and one (1) year applicable experience, OR associate degree in information technology, OR related field and two (2) years applicable and progressive experience, OR three (3) years applicable and progressive experience.Strong organizational skills, exposure to project management, and managing simultaneous and competing responsibilities.Experience with 365 technologies such as Entra , Defender, and Exchanges.Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server.Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing, ports, and common network dependencies, with experience troubleshooting networked application and server connectivity.Understanding of backup and recovery principles, including recovery objectives, retention, restore verification, and protection of applications, databases, virtual machines, and file data.Understanding of how IT systems support business operations, including the ability to identify users, requirements, dependencies, and risks, and recovery needs for business-critical applications.Understanding or IT security fundamentals, including least privilege, patching MFA, logging, hardening configurations, and identifying or escalating security risks in IT systems.Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar systems using documentation, logs, monitoring, vendor support, teammates, trusted partners, and structured reasoning, including knowing when to escalate and how to preserve system stability during incidents.Awareness of infrastructure dependencies such as power, UPS systems, cooling, cabling, and physical access controls for server rooms and wiring closets.Frequently communicate verbally and in writing.Visual ability to view multiple computer monitors and…
