A specialized nursing role in Interventional Radiology/Cardiology offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing invasive and minimally invasive procedures. This contract position in Pendleton, OR, focuses on collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications including anticoagulants and emergency drugs, maintaining sterile technique.
- Act as patient advocate by anticipating needs and responding swiftly to complications such as arrhythmias or contrast allergies.
- Provide moderate sedation and monitor patients according to protocol.
- Assist physicians during procedures by preparing instruments and responding quickly during critical moments.
- Monitor hemodynamic data and document all procedural details accurately.
- Support peri-procedure prep, patient identification, timeout procedures, and vascular access management.
- Manage supply inventory, room turnover, and equipment maintenance.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license in Oregon.
- Minimum one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; specialty certifications and IV certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, procedural flow, and patient care across cultural and age-specific needs.
- Bilingual skills, particularly English-Spanish, highly desirable.
