Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Pendleton, Oregon, 97801!

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Pendleton, OR

Start Date: 04-27-2026

End Date: 07-27-2026

Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, evidence-based labor and delivery care for mothers and newborns in a busy L&D/PP/MB unit
  • Monitor fetal status using FE Centricity Perinatal and interpret central fetal strips to inform care
  • Administer and titrate common obstetric drips (Pitocin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate) per protocol
  • Manage routine and intermediate newborn nursery care and assist with stabilization/transfer when needed
  • Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses and on-call OBs to coordinate patient care
  • Document thoroughly and accurately in MEDITECH to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Serve as a reliable team member who can independently manage assignments and back up colleagues
  • Participate in unit orientation and preceptor activities to support new staff integration
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong fetal electronic monitoring skills and familiarity with FE Centricity Perinatal
  • Proficient with MEDITECH charting system
  • Experience with ventilator stabilization/transfer and Bubble CPAP basics
  • Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines and best practices for maternal-newborn care
  • Telemetry awareness for maternal cardiac read (with ICU support as needed)
  • Excellent prioritization, multitasking and communication skills in dynamic settings

Requirements
  • Current RN license in Oregon or eligible to apply for the Oregon 90-Day Emergency License
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum ~2 years clinical nursing experience (preferably in L&D/PP/newborn care)
  • Demonstrated ability to titrate drips and manage obstetric medications safely
  • Comfortable working independently across L&D, postpartum, routine and intermediate newborn nursery
  • Willingness to float to other units and be a flexible team player
