Arthrex is actively searching for a Quality Control Supervisor to support our Pendleton, SC manufacturing facility on Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00a to 6:00p). Main Objective:
To oversee, manage and provide direction to the QC Inspection department that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the expectations by providing superior quality products and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the efforts of the Quality Control Inspectors for a specific work shift.
  • Schedule work assignments and assign tasks. Observe work as it is performed to ensure it is done properly and safely.
  • Ensure that QC Inspectors are properly trained in all inspection equipment, techniques, and Work Instructions.
  • Ensure adequate Train-The-Trainer resources to comply with competency training requirements.
  • Maintain efficient work flow, work assignments and throughput standards.
  • Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the team’s performance (Safety, Productivity, and Quality of Work) and initiate actions as needed to maintain performance.
  • Confer with supervisors from other departments to coordinate operations and activities and meets with managers or subordinates to resolve issues.
  • Identify inspection equipment and gages needed to adequately perform inspections required by Inspection Plans (IP Sheets, RI cards), and report those needs to Quality Control Management.
  • Identify Quality Control Inspector staffing needs to support the business needs and communicate to Quality Control Management
  • Support compliance with the Arthrex Employee Resource Guide (ERG) and human resources standards for employee behaviors.
  • Support Internal and External Audits as the Quality Control Subject Matter Expert as needed.
  • Evaluate employees through performance reviews.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance positions required.
  • 2 years or more of supervision experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of testing equipment and applicable national standards relating to testing (i.e. ASTM standards, etc). Familiarity in operating all test and inspection equipment used in Quality Control. Familiarity with applicable federal, military, FDA, ISO and EN specifications.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment

Skills:


Proficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Excel, Word (or equivalents if changed by the Company), SAP or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning software.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Skills:


Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
