Hard Goods Sorter / Pricing Associate Education
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (required)
Experience
  • Some experience in a consumer retail environment, either in sales or product processing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of second‑hand products and general retail pricing (preferred)
  • Experience driving a 24‑foot delivery truck (required)
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License (required)
Responsibilities
  • Process, clean, sort, price, and shelve hard goods products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized processing station and sales floor.
  • Follow all store rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Adapt to changing hours or shift schedules as needed.
  • Assist with additional duties such as unloading donations, moving inventory, and other tasks requested by management.
  • Adhere to dress code (Army red shirt and black pants or skirt); obtain management approval for alternative clothing.
  • Participate in staff meetings (paid as regular time).
  • Complete initial 3‑month evaluation and ongoing performance reviews per Employee Manual.

  • Willingness to be cross‑trained in other product processing or sales areas.
Software/Computer Skills
  • Basic computer skills, including use of web search engines (e.g., Google) to source competitive pricing for higher‑valued products.
  • Desirable: familiarity with smartphone barcode scanning applications.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 65-70 pounds and operate truck dolly as needed.
  • Dexterity and strength required for detailed product work.
  • Stand for long periods at the processing station.
  • Operate pricing/tagging guns and keep them in good working order.
Other Requirements
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License with excellent driving record.
  • Experience driving a 24-foot delivery truck.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends.
  • Respect for the organization's Christian practices; employees need not pray but should respect meeting openings/closings.
  • Pass a criminal history background check.
