• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Preferred:
  Experience in consumer retail, sales, or product processing.
• Knowledge of second‑hand products and general retail pricing desired.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced product processing environment (sorting, cleaning, moving to sales floor).
• Positive customer interaction while shelving and organizing hard goods.

• Detail oriented in cleaning and handling delicate products.
• Self‑starter; keeps processing station orderly and clean.
• Team player fostering cooperation and goodwill.
• Works well in fast‑paced environment, maintains poise under pressure to meet goals.
• Customer‑service mindset on sales floor.
• Maintains confidentiality of store information.
• Positive, cheerful, energetic attitude.
• Willingness to cross‑train in other product processing or sales areas.

• Computer skills sufficient for web search engines (e.g., Google) to source competitive pricing.
• Desirable:
  Ability to use smartphone barcode scanning applications.

• Scheduled days/hours may change as necessary.
• Main work location:
  Product Processing Department.
• Work assigned hours and follow rules, procedures, and policies.
• Maintain clean, orderly, proficient processing station and immediate area.
• Clean items thoroughly for merchandising presentation.
• Sort and place cleaned items in designated pricing slots.
• Affix pricing stickers firmly.
• Move priced items to sales floor for shelving.
• Help keep sales floor presentable.
• May perform other tasks assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Dress code:
  Salvation Army color red style shirt (polo, collared, tee) and black pants or skirt (women); alternate clothing requires manager approval.
• Attend staff meetings; paid as regular time.
• Evaluated during initial 3‑month period; periodic written performance reviews per Employee Manual.
• Primary goal: 8 carts of products processed per 5‑hour shift (sorting, cleaning, pricing, shelving).
• Follow established procedures.
• Assist in other areas (e.g., unloading donations) per schedule.
• Perform store cleaning chores per weekly schedule.
• Commit to generating Thrift Store sales revenue to support community outreach programs.

• Ability to lift 65–70 pounds.
• Dexterity and strength in hands and fingers for detailed work.
• Capable of standing for long periods at processing station.
• Operate pricing/tagging guns efficiently.
• Use truck dolly to move donated products.

• Valid Oregon Driver’s License with excellent record.
• Experience driving at least a 24‑foot delivery truck.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Respect for prayer moments; participation optional.
