Kan Pak LLC, a leader in shelf-stable beverages and desserts for major food service and retail brands, is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees financial reporting, cost and inventory accounting, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring strong internal controls and GAAP compliance. The Controller partners closely with production, quality, and operations teams to analyze performance, support process improvements, and provide insight to leadership.
Ideal candidates bring manufacturing accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting for the manufacturing plant and corporate leadership.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation to ensure accurate product and margin reporting.
- Maintain robust internal controls, compliance with GAAP, and readiness for internal and external audits.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with operations, production, and quality teams to analyze performance and support process improvements.
- Prepare cash flow, capital expenditure, and profitability analyses for management.
- Improve and streamline financial processes, systems, and reporting dashboards.
- Ensure timely tax-related filings in coordination with external advisors or corporate tax.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
