Head of Production Support – Upstream Oil & Gas

Responsibilities

• Operational strategy & HSE performance: Contribute to the development and implementation of the site’s production strategy, ensuring alignment with safety, emissions reduction and energy efficiency goals. Support the implementation of the GHG roadmap, oversee flaring policy application, and ensure safety tests follow company standards and best practices.
• Production optimization: Assess well performance, propose production optimization actions, and consolidate production KPIs. Analyze production results, coordinate weekly performance reviews, and prepare reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Export & planning coordination: Lead crude oil export planning, manage deviations in product quality, and represent the company in coordination meetings with refining and commercial partners.
• Technical support & troubleshooting: Provide hands‑on operational and technical support across oil, gas, water treatment, rotating equipment, and process units. Drive problem solving for process inefficiencies and ensure proper technical interfaces with engineering and technical departments.
• Digitalization & innovation: Develop and lead initiatives in digital technologies and process innovation aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing plant reliability.
• Team leadership & capability development: Manage the Production Support Department (10‑12 people:
  Head of Smart Room, Head of Material Balance & Reporting, Export Coordinator & Innovation, Rotating Machine Engineer, Predictive Maintenance Engineer, Field Engineer (ROT), as well as the site laboratory). Promote technical skill development and contribute to continuous improvement of organization, performance and cost efficiency.

• Engineering degree (or equivalent scientific background) with 10+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations.
• Strong technical expertise across the full oil, gas and water process chain, including separation, gas treatment, sulfur recovery, LPG processing, and water treatment systems.
• Proven experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and interacting effectively with drilling, wells, maintenance, technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to define action plans and manage production KPIs.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, with autonomy and adaptability in complex operational environments.
• Fluent in English and Italian;
  French is considered a plus.
