Purpose of the position
:

As Welding Engineer
, you will respond to the Offshore Pipeline Welding Management and be part of the Asset Based Services Business Line within PIPWE department
/

. You will support the Offshore Pipeline Welding team
.

• Provide Welding support to all engineering disciplines to comply with contractual requirements and with the updated technological criteria;
• Evaluate Client/End User tender documents and requirements relevant to metallic materials and associated fabrication process;
• Prepare and issue preliminary Welding Documents for assigned project or bids;
• Participate to Welding Procedure Qualifications in our Pipeline Technologies Center Located in Ploiesti – Romania – Several missions per year.
• Ensure the readiness of the welding equipment on vessels/yards prior the start of the installation/production;
• Participate to the welder qualifications onboard vessels or on site – offshore missions.
• Follow up of the KPIs (Key Performance Indicator), analyze and explain any deviation.
• Review welding documents (WPS/PQR), welding repair and heat treatment procedures issued by Manufacturer/Vendor and prepare welding qualification matrix and pWPS for piping/pipeline direct hiring construction welds;
• Define and witness welding trial test for special materials;

Education: Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering

Experience: 3-5 years’ experience as a Welding Engineer in the Oil&Gas industry

International Welding Engineer (IWE) Certificate is appreciated

Skills:

good skills in using the main computer software programs
