Commitment & contract:
Full-time internship within the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme for undergraduate students enrolled in a master’s degree programme; the position requires a time commitment of 40 hours/week (full time)
Location:
Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Genoa, Italy
Duration: 6 months
Compensation:
No salary granted by IIT (applicants must rely on funding from their University’s Erasmus+ programme)

THE ROLEDuring your internship you will work on a project in the Humanoids and Human Centered Mechatronics ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) group coordinated by Nikolaos Tsagarakis. This group focuses on Development of Legged/Mobile Robot Mechatronics and Control.
Your activity will comprise
- Development of Robot Grasping functionalities
And will allow you to develop competences in
- Robot Operating System (ROS), robot software and simulation
- Robot perception tools
- Experience in working with mobile/legged robots
- To be registered as a student in an undergraduate master’s degree programme in Computer science, Engineering, Robotics or a cognate field of study for the entire duration of your stay at IIT
- To have a good command of spoken and written English
- To rely on funding from your University’s Erasmus+ programme
