RINA is recruiting a Railway RAMS Engineer to join its offices in Genoa, Rome, and Naples within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.

MissionThe RAMS Engineer focuses on contributing to the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of transportation systems, supporting implementation of RAMS processes, analyzing data, and supporting project stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities- Support the implementation and coordination of RAMS processes across project phases.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards in developing RAMS deliverables.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential hazards and safety risks.
- Use RAMS methodologies such as FMECA, event tree analysis, and fault tree analysis to assess risk impacts.
- Develop and review key RAMS deliverables like safety plans and hazard logs.
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout project phases.
- Work closely with project teams, suppliers, operators, and relevant authorities.
- Participate in safety-related meetings and coordinate safety efforts.
- Ensure safety requirements are met during testing and commissioning phases.
- Review and assess test plans to validate system reliability and safety.
- Provide updates on RAMS activities to project managers and stakeholders.
- Communicate safety-related issues and recommendations effectively.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering.
Qualifications- Basic understanding of functional safety principles in engineering projects, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise.
- Familiarity with basic railway industry regulations and safety standards.
- Awareness of safety processes outlined by relevant authorities such as ERA and ANSFISA.
- Basic knowledge of RAMS analysis software, with a willingness to gain proficiency.
- Familiarity with safety processes and dealing with ISA, DeBo.
- Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently.

- Skills and strategies for effective interaction with others.
- Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise.
